Br. John Pill FSC – Director of Lasallian Services PARC



John brings a great deal of experience and skill to the position of Director of Lasallian Services.

He has just completed his appointment as Director of Mission for the District of ANZPPNG.  In that role he has led the incorporation process of the Institute-owned schools of the Australian sector of the District and the signing of a formal memoranda with the 24 diocesan – owned Lasallian schools to guarantee the sustainability and authentic expression of the Lasallian charism. His other responsibilities have included the establishment of the District Mission Council and Mission Action Committees in New Zealand and Papua New Guinea and the oversight of the youth ministry programme, Lasallian volunteers and the Share the Mission programme.


In 2005, John completed forty plus years of working in the schools of his District, twenty four of those years as principal. He also spent four years during that time a full-time member of the District Council with responsibility for community renewal and vocation promotion and was a member of the District Council for three terms; he served two terms as president of the South Australian Association of Catholic Secondary School Principal and the negotiating team for the determination of teachers salaries and conditions;


John has been Director of two communities. He attended a full session of CIL in the late Eighties and the session on Association in 2010. He was a participant in the International Assembly for the Educational Mission in 2006. He holds a Masters Degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University of Chicago.
